At its Ahmedabad City Meetup, Digital Health News honored OmniMD for its contributions to EHR, RCM, and interoperability that support over 12,000 medical professionals in the United States.

Our job is to keep clinical documentation, billing, and patient records connected to each other so physicians can spend their time on patients rather than on administrative systems.”— Divan Dave, CEO of OmniMD
Since 2002, OmniMD—a U.S.-based healthcare technology firm—has been developing electronic health record (EHR), revenue cycle management (RCM), and interoperability solutions for American medical practices. The company has now been included in Digital Health News (DHN)’s 2026 DHN Top Healthcare Innovators list. The award was presented on August 22 during the DHN City Meetup held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat—a gathering that united hospital administrators, chief operating officers, and healthcare policy stakeholders under the theme “The Digital Health Decade: Gujarat’s Moment to Lead.”
The recognition, signed by Vishnu Saxena (Founder and CEO of DHN Media India), commends OmniMD for “shaping the future of healthcare through innovation, impact and purpose.”
OmniMD was launched in 2002 by Divan Dave, who remains its Chief Executive Officer. The company is headquartered in Hawthorne, New York, and initially built its business by offering specialty-specific EHR templates and claims management tools for independent physician practices—at a time when most electronic records vendors were targeting large hospital systems.
Over the next two decades, OmniMD broadened its platform to encompass practice management, telehealth, remote patient monitoring, and a health information exchange layer named OmniXchange. This layer facilitates data transfer using FHIR, HL7, JSON, and XML standards with laboratories and other EHR systems.
The company’s EHR platform holds ONC certification and is utilized by more than 12,000 medical professionals across over 20 clinical specialties—including cardiology, primary care, internal medicine, psychiatry, and pediatrics.
In 2025, OmniMD launched a series of AI-powered tools, such as an AI medical scribe, an AI-driven front desk product for scheduling and insurance eligibility verification, and an automated claims and denial management system. These additions extend OmniMD’s RCM and documentation offerings into the realm of generative AI.
“This recognition reflects work that started with a handful of people trying to give independent physicians the same clinical and financial tools that large hospital systems already had,” said Divan Dave, CEO of OmniMD. “Two decades later, the mandate has not changed. Our job is to keep clinical documentation, billing, and patient records connected to each other so physicians can spend their time on patients rather than on administrative systems that do not talk to one another.”
The DHN City Meetup series, organized by Digital Health News across multiple Indian cities in 2026—including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad—brings together hospital chief information officers, medical superintendents, clinicians, and healthcare technology firms to discuss digital adoption in Indian hospitals. OmniMD’s recognition at the Ahmedabad event highlights the company’s global delivery operations, which support its U.S. client base from both the United States and India.
