CallRadius Details Its Patent-Pending AI System for Google Local Services Ads as LSA Moves Into Performance Max

Local Service Ad Management

Each account undergoes a full analysis every two hours, with every single lead being classified. A seasoned CallRadius manager examines the system’s output and is responsible for implementing all adjustments.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, UNITED STATES, September 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — CallRadius, a managed Google Local Services Ads (LSA) service headquartered in Scottsdale, has disclosed the inner workings of its patent-pending AI-driven management system that oversees every account it handles, coinciding with Google’s move to integrate Local Services Ads into Google Ads as Performance Max campaigns. The platform operates 25 scheduled monitoring cycles for each account, and every account is managed by a skilled human manager who evaluates the system’s insights and executes all modifications.

“Our goal was to develop top-tier intelligence specifically for Local Services Ads, and then place it in the hands of an experienced manager rather than letting it operate autonomously,” stated Doug Brown, founder of CallRadius.

What the system accomplishes

Per the company, the CallRadius LSA AI management system:

– Fetches fresh leads every 30 minutes and uses AI to categorize each one. A lead is marked as probably invalid for the manager only when the system hits 85% confidence or higher.
– Reviews each account’s budget allocation every two hours, amounting to 84 checks per week.
– Monitors ad positioning and competitor activity roughly twice weekly.
– Constructs an hour-by-day model covering 168 weekly time slots, detailing when leads come in and when they convert to booked services.
– Assesses location performance on a ZIP code basis and highlights underperforming areas for manager review.
– Maintains four distinct financial metrics that are often merged: cost per charged lead, cost per booked job, the client’s monthly spending target, and Google’s own budget setting.
– After implementing a budget change, compares the 14-day period before the adjustment with the 14-day period after, documenting the outcome as a correlation rather than definitive causation.

Managers also have access to HELM, the company’s evidence-based AI expert reviewer for Local Services Ads, which entered production service on September 20, 2026. HELM examines a complete evidence snapshot of an account and indicates when available data is insufficient to support a specific conclusion.

This technology is covered by a pending U.S. provisional patent application (No. 64/063,539) comprising 67 claims, focusing on hierarchical budget optimization via an AI-driven lead-quality feedback loop, revenue-informed optimization, multi-location portfolio management, and competitive intelligence.

Every adjustment is made by a person

The system generates recommendations along with supporting evidence. A manager reviews each proposal and implements all changes to the client’s live Google account, ranging from budgets to lead-quality feedback. The company confirmed that the list of rules permitting a live budget change without human intervention is intentionally left empty.

“Spending on Local Services Ads cannot be reversed,” Brown explained. “Our system monitors every account around the clock and reviews every lead. No human could accomplish that manually. But it’s a person who understands the business that makes the final decision.”

Why this is significant now

Google initiated the migration of Local Services Ads into Performance Max in August 2026, with plans to extend this shift to all remaining categories through 2027, as outlined in Google Ads Help. Manual bidding is no longer supported, and advertisers who previously set different Target CPAs for distinct service categories will now have a single campaign-level target applied unless those categories are split into separate campaigns. Google also notes that historical campaign-level performance reports will not transfer to Google Ads, although lead history will remain available.
