AlphaBravo Awarded Navy Task Order to Integrate TPaaS Capabilities into Pioneer for Integrated Combat System Deployments

Through SBIR Phase III efforts, AlphaBravo’s Kubernetes fleet and lifecycle management platform will be expanded to simplify combat system software delivery to naval forces.

FREDERICK, MD, UNITED STATES, July 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — AlphaBravo, a veteran-owned small enterprise focused on defense platform engineering and DevSecOps, has announced receiving a task order under its Navy Basic Ordering Agreement. This order involves incorporating Tools Platform as a Service (TPaaS) capabilities into Pioneer, the company’s Kubernetes fleet and lifecycle management platform. The objective is to facilitate more straightforward deployment of Integrated Combat System (ICS) software to the Fleet.

This task order continues AlphaBravo’s collaboration with Naval Surface Warfare Center as a SBIR Phase III initiative, advancing technologies developed and proven during the company’s SBIR Phase II contract with Navy PEO Integrated Warfare Systems.

Currently, getting combat system software onto ships and keeping it updated across the Fleet demands substantial manual engineering work. Container images require hardening and verification. Baselines must remain uniform across vessels and shore installations. Updates need to reach platforms that operate for long periods without connectivity. Pioneer tackles these issues through automated fleet-scale lifecycle management, integrated compliance evidence, and delivery workflows built for air-gapped and contested settings.

As part of this task order, AlphaBravo will embed TPaaS features directly within Pioneer, providing Navy program teams with a unified platform to build, harden, deliver, and operate containerized combat system software from the development environment all the way to the ship.

“Sailors and program offices should not have to piece together numerous tools just to get software to the Fleet,” stated Chad Serino, CEO and Founder of AlphaBravo. “This integration consolidates the entire pipeline into one system. Build it, harden it, deliver it, run it, wherever the mission requires. That is what simplified deployment truly means.”

This work aligns with the Navy’s wider initiative to achieve faster and more reliable software delivery for integrated combat systems, and it expands on a capability already operational within an active Department of Defense weapon system program of record.
