Equinix, Cisco, and Nvidia Partner to Bring Secure AI Factories to Enterprises Worldwide

Three of the technology world’s most influential companies — Equinix, Cisco, and Nvidia — have announced an expanded collaboration to deploy secure AI factories across Equinix’s global network of data centers, dramatically lowering the barriers for enterprises to transition from AI pilot projects to full production deployments.

The partnership enables customers to deploy the Cisco Secure AI Factory with Nvidia on Equinix’s colocation infrastructure using standardized blueprints and purpose-built automation tools. These tools are designed to eliminate the complexity that has historically slowed enterprise AI adoption, making it possible for organizations to deploy sophisticated AI infrastructure without requiring deep specialized expertise in hardware configuration and network architecture.

A standout element of the collaboration is the Programmable AI Technology Hub (P.A.T.H.) Lab — a production-grade testing environment built inside Equinix data centers where enterprises can evaluate, validate, and optimize AI infrastructure configurations before committing to a full-scale rollout. This “try before you buy” capability addresses one of the key concerns enterprises have about AI infrastructure investment: the risk of committing significant capital to infrastructure that may need substantial reconfiguration once real workloads are deployed.

Gordon Mackintosh, Equinix’s Senior Vice President of Global Partner Sales, explained the value proposition clearly: “Our collaboration with Cisco, NVIDIA and Presidio delivers the infrastructure AI workloads demand while giving customers a place to prove it out before they scale.” This combination of enterprise-grade infrastructure with validation capabilities represents a meaningful advancement for organizations navigating AI adoption.

The technical foundation of the partnership is Cisco’s Secure AI Factory architecture, a modular design that combines high-performance AI computing with integrated security, observability, and compliance capabilities. By hosting this architecture within Equinix’s data centers — which offer specialized power, advanced cooling, and the interconnection density needed for AI workloads — the partnership addresses the complete spectrum of enterprise AI infrastructure requirements.

Presidio, a global technology services provider, joins as a key delivery partner through the P.A.T.H. Lab initiative. Together, the four companies are making it possible to deploy AI infrastructure that spans public cloud, private on-premises, and colocation environments — meeting enterprises wherever they are in their AI journey while maintaining data sovereignty and security compliance requirements.
