Montana-based Univision Computers purchases Green Up IT, combining Helena’s well-known local tech firm with statewide resources and expertise.
MISSOULA, MT, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Univision Computers, the Montana-owned managed IT services, cloud and cybersecurity provider established in 1989, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Green Up IT, Inc., the Helena IT company launched in 2008 and recognized for offering round-the-clock emergency support and a long-established customer base in the Helena region. The deal was finalized on October 1, 2026. Founder and President David Kantorowicz has assumed the role of Account Executive for the Helena market at Univision, where he will continue managing the client relationships he cultivated over eighteen years.
This merger unites two Montana companies with complementary capabilities. Over eighteen years, Green Up IT built a reputation for reliability among Helena-area businesses; Univision brings the resources of a larger organization: a Montana-based help desk with a twelve-minute ticket triage goal, field technicians, a comprehensive cybersecurity division, private cloud infrastructure, and an owned service portfolio covering managed IT, backup and disaster recovery, business phone systems, and compliant fax. The combined entity now supports over 700 client organizations through more than 1,400 active service agreements, employs over 50 people across Montana, and is bringing on technicians based in Helena as part of this acquisition.
“Helena has long been on our radar. We wanted to enter that market the right way, through people the community already knows and trusts, and David has built that trust over eighteen years. His customers gain access to everything Univision has developed, provided by the same person they have always relied on, and Univision gains a partner in Helena who shares our commitment to outcomes. We are Montana owned, we are managed by the people who own the company, and we expand by acquiring firms like Green Up IT while preserving what made them successful. That is what this deal represents.” said Alex Fleig, Chief Executive Officer of Univision Computers.
“For eighteen years, my clients have had my direct number, and that hasn’t changed. What has changed is the support behind that number: a Montana help desk that responds within minutes, technicians located in Helena, and specialists in security and cloud that a business of my size could never afford independently. I evaluated many paths for the next phase of Green Up IT, and this was the one where my customers came out ahead and I could remain involved in those relationships. Leaving organizations better than we found them has always been our guiding principle. This is how we continue that practice.” said David Kantorowicz, President of Green Up IT, Inc., now Account Executive, Helena Market, Univision Computers.
What This Means for Clients
By becoming part of Univision, Green Up IT’s customers are now supported by one of Montana’s most well-established technology companies. What was once a small firm’s commitment is now the benchmark of an organization serving more than 700 client organizations through more than 1,400 active service agreements. Green Up IT clients immediately gain access to staffed, Montana-based help desk coverage with a twelve-minute triage target, reinforced by field technicians in Helena and Missoula. They obtain a full security practice that integrates endpoint, email, and identity protection, backup, and compliance as core services rather than an annual add-on. They access Univision’s in-house service catalog, spanning managed IT and private cloud to business phone and compliant fax, all built and maintained internally. They also gain project capacity, including custom integration, reporting, and workflow automation through Univision’s business automation group. None of these benefits required Green Up IT’s clients to leave Montana or switch to a national provider. It only required that their trusted local firm join the strongest Montana-owned company in the state.
