STAFFORD, TX, UNITED STATES, September 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — NEMI Names Kevin Flick CFO to Accelerate AI Adoption in the Physical Economy
A seasoned principal investor and finance operator joins NEMI as the company expands its Physical AI platform, manufacturing capabilities, and acquisition strategy
NEMI, the Physical AI company developing the Large Manufacturing Model (LMM), has announced the hiring of Kevin Flick as its new Chief Financial Officer. Flick brings over twenty years of expertise across principal investing, capital markets, strategic finance, mergers and acquisitions, and operational finance management.
In his role as CFO, Flick will guide NEMI’s capital formation and acquisition efforts while reinforcing the financial structure required to sustain the company’s growth, along with managing his broader financial duties.
“AI is presenting a major opportunity to reconsider how physical products are conceived and manufactured. Meanwhile, the reshoring trend in the U.S. is fueling demand for more adaptable and efficient manufacturing. Kevin will enable us to seize that opportunity worldwide—enhancing our capabilities through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, while maintaining disciplined capital allocation,” stated Anirudh Ravi Narayanan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NEMI.
Flick remarked, “I chose to join NEMI because I see us at the onset of a significant investment cycle: applying AI to the physical economy—factories, machinery, and production. The opportunity is fundamentally economic: increased productivity, healthier margins, improved capital efficiency, and greater enterprise value.
The involvement of Jeff Bezos and Vik Bajaj in this space via Prometheus is a strong indicator that AI’s next major leap may go beyond software into the tangible world. I have confidence in NEMI’s team, and I am thankful to become part of the company and help turn this opportunity into lasting value for investors.”
Throughout his investing and operational career, Flick has assisted in raising more than $5 billion in capital for private equity funds and operating companies.
He has also held senior finance roles in two startup and turnaround scenarios that ultimately generated over $2 billion in combined enterprise value through acquisitions, organic expansion, capital formation, and operational execution.
Flick’s professional background includes positions at Goldman Sachs, Hicks Muse, and Ernst & Young Transaction Advisory, followed by senior finance and operational roles in private-equity-backed businesses and firms listed on NASDAQ, NYSE, and TSX.
About NEMI
NEMI is a Physical AI company building the Large Manufacturing Model (LMM), an integrated AI system aimed at connecting and automating the entire physical product lifecycle—from concept and engineering through production, quality, delivery, and ongoing improvement.
NEMI’s goal is to achieve for hardware what large language models accomplished for software.
NEMI deploys the LMM within its own factories, serving enterprise clients in aerospace, defense, and automotive sectors. Greater automation enhances cost, quality, and speed, enabling NEMI to attract more business. Each new manufacturing program generates data that improves the LMM and facilitates further automation, establishing a compounding cycle of production, learning, and growth.
