Techcyte Launches Microsoft Teams Meetings from Fusion AP

Enables real-time voice and video calls for frozen sections, consultations, and trainee sessions

OREM, UTAH, USA — September 25, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Techcyte, the creator of Fusion—a unified AI platform for anatomic and clinical pathology—today announced a new enterprise integration with Microsoft Teams that allows Teams meetings to be launched directly from within Techcyte Fusion® AP.

This capability initiates a call directly from the Fusion AP slide viewer, enabling every participant in a live, in-app collaboration session to communicate through voice and/or video. In frozen section workflows, pathologists, operating room staff, and surgeons can now start calls from within the case, replacing OR intercoms or phones.

“Presenting surgeons with reliable, trackable pathology results is at the heart of the frozen section solution. Voice access to the pathologist, right from the OR, adds the transparency and explainability behind every result.”, said Joe Marbach, Product Manager at Techcyte. “The Microsoft Teams integration facilitates quick communication to get a faster answer for the surgeon and their patient.”

For remote consultations and trainee reviews, the Teams integration supports one-on-one or group meetings that begin inside the slide viewer, enabling rapid collaboration through voice and video.

Microsoft Teams integration is now available for Fusion AP customers who use the enterprise version of Microsoft Teams. Techcyte is the first image management system to deliver this functionality to pathology labs. To optimize the experience for labs using Microsoft’s suite of tools, Techcyte will continue to invest by integrating additional Microsoft tools, such as Chat, into the Fusion platform. Support for other enterprise productivity suites is also planned.

Techcyte’s anatomic and clinical pathology platform is for Research Use Only in the United States. Microsoft Teams is a registered trademark of Microsoft Corporation.
