Space Force Association Opens Nominations for 2026 Spacepower Excellence Awards

Entries are now being accepted by the Space Force Association (SFA) for its 2026 awards honoring Innovation, Education, Media, and Human Exploration.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, UNITED STATES, September 3, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The call for nominations has been issued by the Space Force Association (SFA) for its 2026 awards in the categories of Innovation, Education, Media, and Human Exploration. Alongside the Spacepower Excellence Awards, which recognize top United States Space Force Guardians, these honors celebrate individuals and organizations across various fields who are influencing the direction of spacepower.

Public nominations are being accepted for the following 2026 categories:

• Innovation, Engineering and Space Technology Award

• Leadership in Education Award

• Journalism, Literature, Media, and the Arts Award

“It is a privilege for the SFA to honor the pioneers who, through their vision, leadership, and ingenuity, are propelling human progress and enhancing our space capabilities,” stated Mark Dreiling, Awards Committee Chair. “We invite leaders, colleagues, and peers to put forward individuals and teams whose contributions are creating a lasting effect in the space field.”

Since 2024, the SFA has conferred awards on 32 people—including civilians, Guardians, and Reservists—as well as 11 companies, nonprofits, and chapters.

Recipients will be celebrated at the Spacepower Excellence Awards Gala, which is part of the 4th annual Spacepower Conference, scheduled for December 8–10, 2026, at the Hilton Orlando.
