This new Slack connector broadens Jatheon’s data connector lineup to include one of the most popular workplace messaging tools. It is designed for compliance officers, records managers, and IT leaders in regulated industries and large enterprises around the globe.
The Slack connector captures all platform activity and stores it in evidentiary-quality format, complete with metadata and message threading. Supported message types encompass public and private channels, direct messages, and group messages. Edits and deletions are also retained.
Additionally, the connector enables optional historical data import, allowing organizations to archive existing Slack conversations rather than starting from the connector’s activation date. After capture, Slack data becomes accessible through Jatheon’s unified search across all data sources via a single interface. Compliance teams can apply retention policies, legal holds, tags, content policies, and audit trails to Slack records in the same manner as for other channels. AI can interpret message sentiment and flag potentially risky or non-compliant items for review.
