This new Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program broadens Excelsior’s curriculum and creates a route for seasoned professionals to attain the pinnacle of business education. Excelsior’s academic offerings and provides experienced professionals with a pathway to the highest level of business education.
Tailored for individuals already in the workforce, the DBA blends flexible online instruction with two short, high-impact in-person gatherings. These sessions take place in Excelsior's home bases of Albany, New York, and St. Petersburg, Florida, offering valuable opportunities for direct networking, mentorship, and research assistance. The curriculum gives students deep expertise in business theories, research methodologies, and evidence-based approaches, enabling them to emerge as leaders in their sectors. Participants may choose from DBA focus areas such as Cybersecurity Operations, Data Analytics, Enterprise Risk Management, Finance and Accounting, Healthcare Management, Organizational Leadership, and Strategic Sustainability.
Since its founding in 1971 with a goal of increasing educational access, Excelsior has enabled over 200,000 learners to earn associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees. Launching the DBA marks the next phase in Excelsior's ongoing growth.

To qualify, applicants must possess a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, at least five years of professional experience, and a background in managing people and/or projects.
