MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, August 31, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — EARTH 51 has brought its Responsible and Ethical AI leadership work to India, joining forces with the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) and supported by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and NVIDIA, to help groom the upcoming generation of business leaders for the AI age.
Held at IIM Mumbai on 28 August 2026, the initiative gathered MBA candidates and faculty members to tackle a swiftly growing business imperative: AI is no longer only a technology function—it is a leadership function.
This effort represents the next phase of EARTH 51’s mission to develop Responsible AI expertise across educational institutions and industry. Earlier in 2026, EARTH 51 collaborated with the University of Reading in the United Kingdom on a Responsible AI project that engaged over 1,000 students within 100 days. India emerges as a logical extension. As one of the world’s foremost technology and talent hubs, its future business leaders will greatly influence how AI is deployed, governed, and scaled.
At IIM Mumbai, EARTH 51 urged participants to examine more than just AI tools, encouraging consideration of broader decisions around their application—ranging from business value and productivity to governance, workforce effects, sustainability, and trust.
Key to the programme was EARTH 51’s SAFER framework—Sustainability, Accountability, Fairness, Explainability, and Resilience—designed to assist leaders in making improved choices regarding the development, deployment, and use of AI.
