One of the world’s most respected international design competition organizations has opened its early entry window for the 2026 Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design Awards — inviting robotics designers, automation engineers, and AI innovators worldwide to submit their most impactful work for consideration by a global jury of more than 300 experts.

A’ Design Award & Competition has released its call for entries to the A’ International Robotics, Automaton and Automation Design Awards, with an early entry deadline of June 30, 2026 and results scheduled for announcement on May 1, 2027. The competition is open to a wide range of participants including robotics designers, automation engineers, robotics brands, manufacturers, mechatronics engineers, artificial intelligence specialists, machine learning experts, and software developers worldwide.
Eligible design types span the full breadth of modern robotics and automation: industrial robots, medical robots, agricultural robots, domestic robots, autonomous vehicles, humanoid robots, telepresence robots, underwater robots, and more. Any design successfully developed within the last ten years is eligible for submission.
A Two-Phase Competition With Global Reach
Free Preliminary Participation
The A’ Robotics Design Awards uses a two-phase structure designed to make participation accessible. The first phase is open for free preliminary participation: designers can register and submit work to receive a preliminary score without cost. Only projects that advance past the preliminary stage move to the nomination phase, which carries a nominal fee. This structure ensures that the barrier to initial participation remains low, making the competition accessible to independent innovators and smaller companies as well as established robotics brands.
More Than Recognition: A Platform for Global Impact
Beyond celebrating individual achievements, the A’ Robotics Design Awards serve a broader purpose: advancing society through intelligent technologies, automation, and human-centered innovation. Entries are evaluated anonymously through peer review by an influential jury composed of academics, journalists, design professionals, museum curators, investors, and industry experts — ensuring that recognition reflects genuine merit across a diverse range of perspectives.
Winners receive the internationally recognized A’ Design Prize, which includes a Design Excellence Certificate, lifetime license to use the winner logo, publication in the Yearbook of Best Designs, exhibition of awarded works in Italy, an exclusive design trophy, invitation to the A’ Design Awards Gala-Night, translation services for awarded works, and featured placement in World Design Rankings and Designer Rankings platforms.
