The competitive landscape for merchant services just got more crowded, as Netevia confirmed it has finalized a strategic combination with Defyne Payments. The move effectively merges Defyne’s established partner network and merchant services know-how with Netevia’s payments technology, operational backbone, and financial services offerings. For independent sales organizations (ISOs) and independent agents, the newly combined platform is positioned as a one-stop shop aimed at helping them recruit merchants, deepen existing client ties, and pursue steadier growth.
Leadership changes come immediately with the deal. Duayne Haskett, who previously served as Defyne’s Chief Executive Officer, steps into the role of Chief Revenue Officer at Netevia. Haskett carries over two decades of merchant acquiring experience, with a background that cuts across sales-channel development, operations, and partner engagement. His history of nurturing ISO and agent relationships is expected to play a direct role in accelerating Netevia’s push for nationwide channel expansion.
“Defyne is an exceptional strategic fit for Netevia because we share an unwavering commitment to helping our partners build successful, sustainable businesses,” said Vlad Sadovskiy, Chief Executive Officer of Netevia. “Bringing Defyne into Netevia is about much more than expanding our market reach—it is about combining talented people, strong relationships, and cutting-edge technology to deliver unmatched value to the ISO community. Duayne is a visionary leader who intimately understands this channel and what partners need to succeed, and his decades of industry experience make him an invaluable addition to our leadership team.”

Reflecting on the partnership, Duayne Haskett noted, “Joining forces with Netevia represents an exciting new chapter for Defyne and the partners who have helped build our business over the years. Our core focus has always been on providing partners with the relationships, service, and tools necessary to thrive. Becoming part of Netevia allows us to amplify that foundation with a broader platform and enhanced resources. As Chief Revenue Officer, I look forward to working closely with the Netevia team to expand our ISO channel and empower our partners to capture new opportunities.”
Financing for the transaction came through an extension of Netevia’s existing credit facility with WhiteHorse Capital. That move builds on a prior arrangement, as WhiteHorse had already provided the senior secured credit facility that supported Netevia’s earlier growth phases.
With Defyne now fully folded into Netevia, the combined entity says it is keeping its focus squarely on partner service, merchant success, and long-term revenue generation.

Why it matters: Consolidation in the payments space is shifting from pure technology plays to distribution strength, and this deal reflects that trend. By pairing Defyne’s partner relationships with Netevia’s platform, the combined company is betting that ISOs will favor a broader toolset as they compete for merchant business. The appointment of Haskett signals a clear priority on channel growth, which could reshape how smaller agents and sales organizations choose their processing partners.
