eMedia Monitor appoints Larry Thomas as Vice President, Americas, to lead U.S. expansion

New role underscores eMM’s expanding U.S. footprint and its long-term dedication to the American marketplace

eMedia Monitor (eMM), a broadcast intelligence platform and worldwide front-runner in live radio, TV, and online video and audio tracking, has announced that Larry Thomas will join as Vice President, Americas. The appointment of this seasoned senior public relations and marketing technology executive highlights eMM’s ongoing investments in the U.S., where it has already established a television, radio, and podcast monitoring infrastructure spanning all 210 DMAs and 50 states, and signals the next phase of broadening its commercial footprint across North and South America.

With over twenty years of experience scaling media intelligence and PR technology ventures in the U.S., Thomas most recently headed American business development for UNICEPTA, following a period driving growth at Talkwalker before Hootsuite acquired it, and at Bulletin Intelligence both prior to and after its purchase by Cision. Earlier in his career, he served as a founding executive and president of MultiVu, PR Newswire’s video PR arm, and later as COO of Medialink Worldwide, a NASDAQ-listed broadcast PR and media tech firm, where he played a key role in introducing Teletrax, a content-verification initiative developed with Philips, to the market.

In this capacity, Thomas will guide eMM’s expansion strategy throughout the Americas, honing the company’s emphasis on deep, localized coverage within the U.S. while growing its roster of clients among American communications and data analytics professionals, supported by enlarged marketing, customer success, and research divisions. This move also enables U.S. clients to consolidate with a single provider, allowing them to combine international requirements with their domestic coverage under one offering with uniform methodologies and metrics, thereby eliminating the costs and hassles of juggling multiple vendors. As an AI-first organization, eMM integrates artificial intelligence across its monitoring and analysis, organizing its data so clients can effortlessly merge it with their own AI systems and workflows.

Larry Thomas, Vice President, Americas, eMedia Monitor: “I’ve dedicated my career to helping global media intelligence firms establish and scale their U.S. operations, and I’m thrilled to bring that expertise to eMM at such a crucial juncture in its American growth trajectory. There’s a significant chance to provide U.S. organizations with the kind of all-encompassing, cross-border broadcast insights that have frequently been absent from their arsenal, and I look forward to making that a reality.”

Thomas Netousek, Founder and CEO, eMedia Monitor and a board member of the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communication (AMEC): “Larry has built U.S. operations for several of the most esteemed names in media intelligence, and he has a demonstrated history of converting that groundwork into sustained success. Bringing that expertise in-house represents a major milestone in our U.S. strategy, and we’re delighted to have him at the helm.”

eMM’s network currently spans 1,811 television and radio stations and 55,800 podcasts across the U.S., with those figures climbing on a weekly basis. This is part of the company’s worldwide reach, which includes over 4,500 broadcast channels and more than 130,000 podcasts in 94 countries and 42 languages, all monitored in real time around the clock, with the capacity to review up to 4 million podcasts. Brands and organizations seeking to monitor or uncover trends influencing U.S. broadcast, radio, and podcast content are encouraged to contact eMedia Monitor to explore potential support.
