GEORGETOWN, KY, UNITED STATES, September 16, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Indomitus Group today unveiled indiAccounting 2.0, the most substantial update since the software’s debut, delivering two capabilities that small businesses have requested ever since desktop accounting tools started moving to the cloud: true multi-user operation over a local network and an encrypted version for accountants.
Neither feature demands a server, a cloud platform, or additional fees per user. A single computer in the office holds the company file; all other machines connect directly to it through an encrypted local link. A team of five pays one flat rate — $399 on top of the $249 base license — and every workstation is covered.
For context, top-tier cloud accounting solutions with payroll typically run a five-person business between $2,500 and $3,000 annually, year after year, with recent price hikes in that category reaching as high as 25 percent.

A functional office, with real access controls
Permissions are split across five modules — Sales, Purchasing, Banking, Payroll, and Books — and each user is assigned no access, view-only access, or full edit access per module. Payroll is the critical one: a receptionist who enters invoices never sees salary information. Report outputs are tied to the permissions of the data they pull from, not a universal setting.
When two users open the same invoice, the second sees a name-specific alert: “Eugene Marsh is editing this record.” An administrator can lock the books for end-of-period processing, while others continue viewing without disruption. Every change is logged with the user’s identity.
Linking a new computer requires reading a code out loud across the room, and all connections are encrypted and tied to the specific host machine — a device that isn’t the host can’t pretend to be it. If a laptop goes missing, it can be revoked without resetting any passwords.
Give your accountant the books, not your login details
indiAccounting 2.0 also adds the accountant’s copy: a single encrypted file with the full financial records, which any accountant can open in their own indiAccounting installation for review.
The figures balance to the penny because the file is a direct snapshot of the company file itself. What it excludes is anything beyond the books — the license key, app password, stored email and banking credentials, user profiles and login history, plus employee Social Security numbers and direct-deposit info are all stripped out before the file is sealed. The file is then compressed so that removed data is truly erased, not just hidden.
The file is protected with AES-256 encryption using a passphrase shared separately by the sender. On the accountant’s end, it opens as a read-only company under their own license, clearly labeled, with any attempted modification rejected with a clear message. Nothing is transmitted over the internet, no ports are opened, and no server of ours is used.
