TransGard Acquires Soundscape Technology from Guardian

Audio-based tech and product line strengthens wildlife mitigation solutions

“With SoundGard now part of the TransGard family, we’re able to keep broadening its uses while delivering the sustained innovation and support our clients count on.”— Bill Marks, Vice President of Sales, TransGardYORK, PA, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — TransGard has announced the purchase of the Soundscape™ technology platform, its related intellectual property, and the full product line from Guardian Technologies Group.

The product offering will remain available under the SoundGard™ brand, broadening TransGard’s range of wildlife mitigation solutions for electric utilities, industrial sites, transportation infrastructure, telecommunications, renewable energy, and other critical infrastructure sectors.

This deal builds on a previously successful exclusive partnership between the two firms and places the established technology under TransGard’s direct ownership.

TransGard had been acting as the sole commercial partner for the SoundGard™ system, introducing the solution to clients seeking a scientifically grounded, humane method for managing problem birds and wildlife.

The SoundGard™ system relies on Guardian’s Soundscape™ technology, engineered to interfere with wildlife communication, making the targeted area unsuitable for nesting or roosting. While conventional “scare” sounds merely drive animals away temporarily as they evaluate the danger, SoundGard™ delivers a humane, evidence-based approach that consistently deters birds and other nuisance wildlife from the protected zone across many different settings.

“I first saw what SoundGard could do during a 2024 Kansas State University study that paired our laser bird defense system with Guardian’s Soundscape technology,” said Bill Marks, Vice President of Sales at TransGard. “The results were compelling. Since then, we’ve seen customers trial the technology and many have gone on to add it to their wildlife mitigation systems. Now that we’ve brought SoundGard into the TransGard portfolio, we can continue investing in the technology, expand its applications, and provide the long-term innovation and support our customers expect.”

The technology was developed over more than five years of research and is backed by over 20 university studies. SoundGard™ is deployed to help safeguard substations, industrial plants, warehouses, communication towers, transportation centers, distribution hubs, and other critical infrastructure where wildlife activity can lead to operational disruptions, contamination, and increased upkeep expenses.

This acquisition bolsters TransGard’s standing as a full-spectrum provider of wildlife mitigation solutions. Alongside the company’s Animal Fence Systems and Laser Bird Defense offerings, SoundGard™ enhances TransGard’s capacity to help clients tackle various wildlife issues using complementary technologies customized for individual sites and operational needs.
