Today, TravelDistro revealed the developer experience powering its B2B travel API marketplace, adopting engineering techniques from contemporary payments platforms for travel distribution throughout Türkiye.
TravelDistro operates as an API-first marketplace, offering six travel verticals—tickets, tours, transfers, car rental, eSIM, and hotels—via a single unified, versioned API. Each request is authenticated using HMAC-SHA256 signatures, with distinct keys per environment, ensuring credentials never mix between sandbox and production.
To prevent duplicate bookings, the API supports idempotency keys, enabling integrators to safely retry any request following a network failure. Instead of returning empty HTTP 500 responses, TravelDistro provides a catalog of stable, machine-readable error codes, each accompanied by a human-readable explanation and a retry suggestion.

The platform includes OpenAPI documentation and a sandbox that replicates production inventory, enabling development teams to create and test booking workflows using simulated data before applying for live keys. Endpoints adhere to a consistent pattern, e.g., /v1/tickets, /v1/tours, /v1/transfers, /v1/rental-cars, /v1/esim and /v1/hotels.
Multi-currency capabilities include Turkish Lira, US Dollar, Euro, and British Pound, while API content is offered in English, Turkish, Persian, and Spanish, minimizing localization efforts for agencies catering to visitors arriving in Türkiye.
TravelDistro is run by a technology group that owns software and data firms in Edirne and Dubai, as well as tour and transfer services constructed on the same infrastructure.
