Bankably™

We saw two young women who had grown more confident in their work, understood the business problem they were helping us solve and could communicate what they had learned. We are incredibly proud.”— Talibah BaylesBIRMINGHAM, AL, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Bankably™, the financial-readiness platform powered by TMB Tax & Financial Services Benefit Corporation, is marking the effective conclusion of the 2026 Alabama Data Scholar internships held by Shayna Haynes and Dianna-Grace Nelson.
Haynes, who will be a senior at John Carroll Catholic High School, together with Nelson, a senior-to-be at Troy University, finished the eight-week summer internship and shared their completed projects at the 2026 Alabama Data Scholars Showcase on July 31st at the McWane Science Center.
The Alabama Data Scholars Program, run by QuantHub in collaboration with Innovate Alabama, links students with Alabama companies for paid, project-focused internships in data analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence, while offering technical skill-building, career growth, and exposure to new professional paths.
For Bankably™, taking part in the program for a second straight year directly advances its work at the crossroads of technology, financial literacy, and capital access.
Over the summer, Haynes and Nelson collaborated with the Bankably™ team on data assessment, platform testing, analytics, and dashboard creation. Their tasks included setting up and testing user accounts, reviewing the customer journey as if they were new users, checking bank-statement features and the Business Bankability Score™, recording findings and areas for improvement, arranging platform data, crafting analytical questions, and constructing dashboards meant to turn Bankably™ data into meaningful business insights.
Their efforts were not merely academic. Observations from their user testing and analysis were integrated into ongoing discussions about Bankably™’s platform operations, user experience, and data approach.
“One of the most valuable things a growing technology company can receive is thoughtful feedback from people encountering the product with fresh eyes,” said Talibah M. Bayles, Founder and CEO of TMB Tax & Financial Services Benefit Corporation and Bankably™. “Shayna and Dianna-Grace did much more than complete internship assignments. They asked questions, tested assumptions, identified opportunities for improvement and helped us think differently about how we use our data. Their work will remain part of Bankably™’s growth long after the internship has ended.”
