New airwiseOS feature integrates radar, RF detection, Remote ID, ADS-B, video, telemetry, and enterprise data into Nexus, a single operational picture for the sector.
Airwise Solutions has introduced Nexus, an open airspace-awareness platform that consolidates trusted operational information into one cohesive view.
Nexus takes in and aligns information from external sensors and operational systems—including radar, radiofrequency (RF) detection, Remote ID, ADS-B, video, OEM drone telemetry, and other reliable cooperative and non-cooperative traffic sources. The combination of these data streams is displayed through an integrated common operating picture tailored for commercial drone operations, counter-UAS monitoring, and airspace governance.
Nexus tackles a long-standing issue for public-safety organizations and critical-infrastructure operators: Airspace sensors and operational tools frequently come with separate interfaces, forcing users to juggle multiple disconnected screens before taking action. Nexus merges those feeds into a single live view, matching detections with an enterprise’s own drone, personnel, and vehicle telemetry, so teams can observe and react to airspace activity from one unified interface.
Central to this release is an open partner framework. Sensor and data-feed vendors can connect to Nexus at no cost and on a non-exclusive basis, and a single integration makes their information accessible to every Airwise client whose use case allows it. Partners retain complete ownership of their data, and Airwise—a software firm that manufactures no hardware—delivers a shared common operating picture offering real-time, actionable operational insights. This strategy aims to rapidly improve the airspace view while lowering the expense and friction of adopting the platform for each new customer.
Airwise is first introducing Nexus to the public-safety sector, including drone-as-first-responder (DFR) and counter-UAS initiatives, as well as to energy and utility companies that inspect and safeguard extensive infrastructure networks. Among the collaborators backing the launch is public-safety drone integrator Unmanned Vehicle Technologies.
“The agencies we support are handling more sensors, systems, and data, but that information is only useful when teams can quickly comprehend and act on it,” said Chris Fink, founder and chief executive officer of UVT. “By uniting those technologies through Airwise Nexus, we can give customers a sharper view of their airspace and greater confidence when critical decisions arise.”
“Nexus is founded on a straightforward concept: the airspace picture improves with every sensor or other trusted operational data it incorporates, so integration ought to be free and open,” said Josh O’Leary, Chief Technology Officer of Airwise Solutions. “We enhance the value of our partners’ sensors within the Nexus common operating picture, and we offer customers the flexibility to combine best-in-class hardware in one view instead of being tied to a single supplier.”
Airwise Nexus is available immediately. Sensor manufacturers, data-feed providers, and integrators interested in joining the Nexus partner program can contact Airwise Solutions to initiate a no-cost integration. Nexus employs standards-based open APIs for enterprise integrations to speed up deployment.
