Philadelphia-headquartered Stockwell Elasatomerics makes substantial investment to fuel ongoing customer growth
Our continued investments are driven by the needs of our customers.”— Tom Rimel, president, Stockwell Elastomerics
Stockwell Elastomerics, a top-tier manufacturer of custom silicone gaskets, conductive elastomer EMI shielding solutions, and precision elastomeric components, today announced a major enlargement of its manufacturing footprint, production capabilities, and technical staff, representing a total investment exceeding $8 million.
The company has acquired an extra building next to its current Philadelphia corporate headquarters and invested in new production machinery and engineering resources to sustain ongoing growth and better serve customers in aerospace, defense, medical devices, semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, instrumentation, and other technology-driven industries.
These investments underscore Stockwell Elastomerics' dedication to delivering responsive engineering support, fast prototyping, scalable production, and top-tier quality to its clients.
Expanding Manufacturing Capacity and Technical Capabilities
As part of its continuous growth plan, Stockwell Elastomerics has bought a new building adjacent to its Philadelphia corporate campus. The additional 38,000-square-foot facility will broaden the company's manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operational footprint, bringing the total Stockwell campus to over 100,000 square feet. During 2026, the company will finish facility planning, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations to prepare for production operations. Manufacturing activities are anticipated to start in 2027, further boosting Stockwell's capacity for custom silicone molding, fabrication, and assembly while meeting rising customer demand, speeding up project timelines, and enabling future investments in technology, equipment, and talent.
At the same time, Stockwell Elastomerics is broadening its capabilities with a substantial investment in additional equipment to complement its new space. The company has also added:
• Three new compression molding presses
• A new Liquid Injection Molding (LIM) press
• Additional manufacturing infrastructure to support increased production volumes and accelerated project timelines
These investments greatly expand Stockwell's ability to support both prototype and production requirements across a wide range of silicone, fluorosilicone, conductive elastomer, and specialty engineered material applications.
The addition of new compression molding equipment increases production capacity for custom-molded elastomer components while the new LIM press enhances the company's ability to manufacture highly repeatable, precision-molded silicone parts for demanding applications requiring tight tolerances and consistent material performance.
Investing In Engineering, Quality, And Customer Support
In parallel with its facility and equipment expansion, Stockwell Elastomerics has continued to invest in and grow its technical and customer-facing teams to support rising customer demand and increasingly complex application requirements. Fifteen recent additions have strengthened the company's applications engineering, customer service, and quality functions, including the expansion of its Applications Engineering team, Customer Service organization, and Quality department.
The company has also continued to grow its Quality organization to support increasing customer requirements, enhance process controls, and uphold the rigorous standards expected in highly regulated industries. As part of this commitment to continual improvement, Stockwell successfully maintained its ISO 9001 and AS9100 certifications, reinforcing its dedication to quality, traceability, and operational excellence.
These investments in talent and organizational capability further enhance Stockwell's ability to provide consultative engineering support, accelerate product development, improve responsiveness, and deliver exceptional quality throughout the customer journey.
Supporting Customers Through Growth
"Our continued investments are driven by the needs of our customers," said Tom Rimel, President of Stockwell Elastomerics. "Whether it's expanding manufacturing capacity, adding new molding technologies, growing our engineering expertise, or strengthening our quality systems, every investment is focused on helping customers bring products to market faster while reducing risk throughout the development and production process."
Stockwell Elastomerics continues to invest across multiple functional areas, including:
• Customer-facing sales and engineering teams
• Applications engineering resources
• Strategic investments in key supplier and manufacturing partnerships
• Research and development initiatives
• Quality systems and compliance programs
• Manufacturing technology and automation
• Prototype-to-production capabilities
These investments support the company's long-term strategy of being the preferred engineering and manufacturing partner for organizations requiring high-performance elastomeric solutions, rapid response, and dependable production execution.
Built for the Future
The expanded facility footprint, increased silicone molding and fabrication capacity, and growing technical workforce position Stockwell Elastomerics to support customers' evolving requirements while maintaining the responsiveness, technical expertise, and engineering collaboration that have long differentiated the company as a trusted partner for custom silicone and elastomeric solutions.
As customer programs become increasingly complex and demand for specialized elastomeric solutions continues to grow, Stockwell remains committed to investing in the people, technology, and infrastructure necessary to deliver innovative solutions and exceptional service.
